Del Oso Farms ~ Mateo's 1st Pony Ride!

This was our 2nd trip to Del Oso Farms. We missed last year but I don't think we will miss anymore. The only negative about the day... the HEAT. Isn't it almost October? We are still wearing shorts and sunscreen.. we are ready for some cool weather!! We actually left a bit early due to the horrible heat.. we then realized why it wasn't very crowded.. but with that said.. I think we will be making another trip this year.

So far Mateo has loved to look at horses and ponies but had no desire to ride. Or he would say yes and then NO once it was his turn. This time he kept saying "Ride Pony" so we thought we would try again.. and wow.. he got on that pony and didn't want to get off. He loved it. When it was over all he could say was "Again, Again". I am sure this is the start of many pony rides in our future!!














As you may know Mateo LOVES his animals so the petting zoo was perfect. He got to feed them and pet them. He was in animal Heaven!!

They have a pumpkin shooting range that was super fun! It could be very addictive. We all had a great time shooting!






They had a super fun mountain of tires to climb. Mateo loved it but due to the heat we had to cut it short. Way too hot!!

Mateo LOVES his Animals and he LOVES to bounce!!

Two things Mateo loves to do...1st is play with his animals...(since his 2nd birthday they have been his favorite toys. We take them everywhere, to bed, in the bath, in the car, to the store...some kids have a blankie.. our little Mateo has his animals. They keep his busy for hours. He knows all their names and all the sounds they make). 2nd he loves to bounce..its a great way to get rid of some of that never ending energy he has!! He got that for his 2nd birthday two... wow finally 2 gifts that are getting a lot of use!! Hope you enjoy the video

The Circus is in Town!!

Lucky for us the circus comes to our town every year! It is a true circus in a field and under the big top. Since Mateo loves animals so much it was a no brainer and we knew we were going to take him!! It was hard to believe so many people could fit under the tent... we got front row seats and had a blast. Mateo got to pet the animals while we were waiting for the circus to start. Once it started he loved the sound and lights!! There were horses, poodles, clowns (0r powns as Mateo says it) which he didnt like to much at first! Acrobats, flying trapeze, women with spinning tons of hula hoops, upside down motorcycles, and much more. At intermission Mateo and daddy watched people ride the elephants.. Mateo didnt want to.. then he was going to get his face painted and decided not to at the last minute. It was getting late but we had to wait for what we came for.. the ELEPHANTS! It was so much fun to watch. Needless to say we all had a great time and Mateo loved it. After we left all he could say was "Circus Again"! Looks like we have another date with the circus in our future.

Mateo watched one of his favorites shows - "Zooboomafoo" today. The theme was animals with spots and stripes. They painted the room and each other.. guess our little guy decided to take it a little bit farther. Can't say he isnt paying attention. Needless to say.. Maxine is now striped with some spots.. ooopss!

Mateo's 1st Wedding

We went to Kelly's Wedding. Kelly is mommies friend Tammie's little sister. It was in Palo Alto and happened to be a super hot day!! The wedding was beautiful but we learned.. a wedding with a 2 year old = way too much work! Our little guy is so active how was he supposed to sit still at a super fancy table and keep quiet? Lucky for us our table was right next to the door to the patio.. a quick getaway! They had candy as centerpieces on the table and Mateo loved that. He loved the dancing, but would only dance with mommy, not by himself, and he loved the wedding cake.. smart kid!! It proved to be a fun day/night cause he was out before we left!!
