Random pics

Marco climbing on anything he can figure out how to climb on. Surprised nothing has broken up to this point. And the boys being goofy. What they spend most of their time doing when they're not fighting.

Playing ball in the kitchen

Mateo has been enjoying teaching Marco how to play basketball. And Marco loves it too. Which in turn, makes a happy Mommy. Nobody yelling and screaming. And yes, they are playing in the kitchen. Easy for me to keep an eye on them.

Meredith's 4th Birthday

We were happy we were able to spend Meredith's birthday with her this year! The cousins always have so much fun when they get to spend time together! Unfortunately there is such a distance between us cuz I sure wish they could hang out more. And come this December, there will be one more little guy to join the family!! Yay!!

Basketball

If Jeff had to pick a favorite sport to play, it would be Basketball. (Of course we are BIG Niner fans but to play = basketball). For Mateo's 1st Birthday, our gift to him was a basketball hoop. Now 3 years later, the earliest he could start practicing with a "team", he is playing and doing so well. It's so cute to see all the little guys out there dribbling and shooting. Especially trying to play a game, which then doesn't seem to consist of much dribbling but a lot of traveling!! LOL. Too bad it doesn't continue thru winter since it can be an inside sport but we'll have to wait to spring to play again.

Pumpkin Patch with Preschool

We got to go to a new Pumpkin Patch this year with Mateo's preschool class. We went to Jones Farm in Livermore. Now remember, it's the middle of October and the kids and parents were sweating outside due to 80 degree weather...ugghh. The kids had a great time. They fed animals, had story time, went on a hay ride, got to play in the make believe barn and tee pees and finally pick a pumpkin!

My little drawer

Mateo has loved to color, scribble and now draw for a long time. I have to say he has actually gotten pretty good at copying as well as turning something from his imagination into something recognizable on paper!

I drew the hippo and he drew the elephant, copying from the letters on the left. As you can see, ours are pretty similar in talent.. LOL

Marco's 1st fat lip!

Marco is a climber, to say the least. He will climb on anything, anywhere! If it's climable, he will try. So today, as we were trying to load the trailor, little man decides to climb on it. In faster than 1/2 a sec he slipped and whaaalaa. A fat lip. He's lucky he didnt lose a tooth. Poor little guy

Please don't take it personal

When...

I don't answer your phone calls
I don't call you
I don't return your e-mail
I cut our conversation short
I don't look you in the eye when we talk
I yell over you
I don't seem like I'm paying attention
I forget your birthday
I give late birthday presents
I cancel last minute
I'm always late
I fall asleep in the middle of our conversation
I forget
Please forgive me. Please don't judge me. I'm just surviving.

I copied this from my friend Anne's blog. We are obviously on the same page at this point in our lives but she's managing to do it with three and I only have to manage 2!

First Day of Preschool as a 4 year old!

Has the time really gone by that fast? Wasnt it just yesterday (I know it seemed like yesterday) that I was still pregnant and walking out the door with a reluctant 3year old starting preschool???? Well fast forward, like really fast, and now here we are, a year later and all ready a preschooler in the 4 year old class! At the end of last year Ms. Lorraine tried to prepare the kids that they would be coming back next year to different teachers. Wasn't flying with Mateo...I mean really it took him long enough to love Ms Lorraine. (he even wanted her to coach soccer). Well we met Miss Kathleen last year at open house and loved her. And the best part, she has a ton of animal stuff in her class!! Bonus points! So we have been talking about going back to school and his new teacher and he has been excited! That is until it was time to walk out the door this morning. Dressed in his special rhino shirt and all. Made it to school and out of the car, but it took a bit of coaxing to actully get into the class. Took a lot of warming up and the part Mateo thinks is super cool is that there is another Mateo in the class!! Well 10 min later, mommy left along with 2 other mommys with screaming boys. Didn't last long but hoping it doesnt go on for long either. Needless to say when it was time to pick him up I was peeking in the window and saw him happily sharing his Mammoth during share time~! Oh and the best part (last year the class started with only 2 boys and ended with 3). This year there are 8 boys! Woo hoo!

Not such a happy boy

This is how they roll

There's my silly boy

He found the animals!

California State Fair

Every year we say "Let's go to the state fair" and every year we never make it. Mainly because of the heat. Well it's been a little cooler and it was the last day so we figured why not. We didnt even get there until after 3 cuz I worked the night before and it figures... it was HOT! But we had a great time. Mateo loved the dinosaur exhibit and LOVED the baby animals and just farm animals in general. Rode the pony which he has been asking to do for months. Ate yummy ice cream and saw more animals and listened to/watched a super cool street band! Pure heaven for a 4 year old. And the funny thing is...although it was the fair, he didn't ride any fair rides and still had a great time! Even Marco LOVED the band. The little man LOVES music and anything with a beat. Thinking this will be another tradition. Especially as the boys grow up.

Crazy snapping alligator turtle

Obviously we didn't see the sign...ooops!
