Haircut and Del Osso Again!

We started out the night going to get Mateo's haircut. His last haircut resulted in a bad experience for him so we werent sure how the night would go. We tried to prepare him but he kept repeating, "No cut", "No cut". It was Jeff's idea that he get his haircut first so Mateo could watch and then maybe be more willing. Well we watched daddy get his haircut. The ladies name was Tracy and she was so nice... you could tell she has a large clientel of little ones. She showed him the clippers, tried to let him feel that they wouldnt hurt. She kept talking to him.. and then bam.. she did the right thing... little did she know Mateo LOVES his animals.. the smock they had for kids was covered in animals.. so we spent the rest of daddys haircut playing with the smock. And to our suprise.. he actually said yes to a haircut. He still wanted to sit on my lap but with both of us smocked up...it was a go. At first he didnt like it, but Tracy.. had the great idea of finger painting with mousse. She put some mousse on a mirror and Mateo just played and played. It was such a great idea... and while I did not have the camera.. what was I thinking.. we still got some great pics after at the pumpkin patch. We will definitely be going back to see Tracy!!
We then went to the pumpkin patch. The plan was to ride a pony.. which Mateo could not stop talking about.. but after we bought the ticket and were ready to ride, he decided he no longer wanted to... oh well... so we just spent our time in the petting zoo and picking out a pumpkin for TeTe and pastitsi Nanna. We think he did a good job.

While Mateo is getting used to the idea of Halloween, (we have a lot of Halloween things in our house and go looking at the decorations all the time) he still relates halloween to being scary. He loves it but then decides its scary! So right now he keeps repeating, "no scary, no haween, no mosters" it is so darn cute!! And as you can see there were some monsters as we left the patch no now everytime I say pumpkin patch he says "no mosters, no scary"!!
