I have been talking about the San Francisco Zoo with Mateo for a long time. We have annual passes to the Oakland Zoo and we could never go enough for him. Don't know why it's taken so long to make it to the SF zoo being Nanna and Nonno live there. He was sooo excited to go. And especially to wear his zoo keeper outfit again. And random enough it was national zoo keepers week! Found the super cute hat to match the outfit and he was off. Every animal was fascinating to him. I can't say enough how excited he was. Only negative of the day is that the weather is a 30 degree drop from what we are used to so it was the first time we broke out winter clothes all summer long and a few days later...the boys had colds. Oh well. I think we will be coming here often. He was all ready asking to go back on the way home! Love that kid!! (and we didnt forget daddy, he was off taking a class)

SOOOOO excited to be at the ZOO!

I think the coolest monkey/zoo animal I have ever seen. A mandrill, right out of the Lion King!

Loved seeing the Rhino

Mateo's Zoo Birthday Party!

Its getting late and I at least wanted a few pics, will upload the rest soon!

It's no wonder that with his love for animals we decided to have a Zoo party! And he loved every minute of it, heck so did I as I think most of the adults did too! And the best, cutest part. He wore a zoo keeper outfit, that he refused to take off that night because he had to feed the animals (imaginary animals in the backyard) first thing when he woke up in the morning.

Mateo LOVED his cake!! He was soooo excited! (Yes I made it and as usual it added a few more grays)

Mateo's 4th Birthday!

If you know me, you know Birthday's are a big deal in our family! I've been planning Mateo's party for awhile so every day he's been asking "is it my birthday tomorrow?". So finally, Thursday, when he asked, I got to say "Yes". So on his birthday, he woke up and the first thing out of his mouth was "It's my Birthday today!" and immediately I began singing to him. Sang to him all day long! And then he says, "yesterday I was 3 but today I'm 4". So very proud. With his birthday being on a Friday and his party on Saturday we had to do something close to home and low key to give me enough time to be home to get the last min things done, so he opted for the Mickey Grove Zoo again. Trust me, he will never get tired of going to the zoo! So we went to the zoo, then next door to the place with the rides and then onto Toys R Us to pick out a few toys! What more could a little guy ask for? And we ended the day with clown ice cream cones. He would rather eat ice-cream over a cake any day...but of course...he will still get a cake!

Happy Birthday Little Man! I love you more than you could ever know and am so proud to be your mommy!!

A pretty happy little boy!

Happy 4th of July!!!

The day was busy but so much fun! And at night we had a fireworks show of our own. No, you're not allowed to do fireworks in Tracy, but noone in our court got that memo. And daddy had some extra special super cool ones that made mommy nervous but Mateo LOVED them, and in the end...so did I. I can't wait for next year!!

Picture taken by Mateo - not bad for a 3 yr old (and yes my knees are more bruised then my boys LOL)

Marco adores his big brother!!

Daddy preparing a bucket of water - uh oh!

Telling us how old he's going to be, he cannot wait for his birthday!

On Saturday we went to Manteca for their 4th of July celebration, which for some reason they do on the 3rd. The kids had sooooo much fun. Lots of free stuff, games and rides and bouncies!! A $2 wristband led to a day full of laughter and fun fun fun!! And the perfect way to end it, sitting on the grass watching the fireworks with little kids in awe of what they saw!!
